Kayaking the in the Florida Keys

In Key Largo you can paddle over vibrant coral formations in the only living coral reef in the continental United States at John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park. John Pennkamp offers kayaks, canoes and paddle board rentals. Explore the park's 50 miles of natural mangrove wilderness trails in Pennekamp waters.

36850 Overseas Highway (MM 37)

Featuring an award winning beach and historic bridge, Bahia Honda State Park at mile marker 37 in the Florida Keys has become a favorite destination for visitors to our island paradise. The park, encompassing over 500 acres and an offshore island offers some of the best snorkeling and beachcombing in Florida. 
Kayaks and snorkel gear are available for rent, and a boat tour is available to the reef for snorkeling.You can launch from both the Atlantic Ocean side and the Gulf of Mexico side.

With a beer garden, a tasting room and a micro brewery, The Florida Keys Brewing Co located in Islamorada is a great place to experience in the Florida Keys.  Founded in 2015, they are the first microbrewery in the Florida Keys and are extremely passionate about what they do.

Their tasting room opens up to a huge beer garden with creative decor and massive seating adorned with palm trees and white sand for a beachy feel . It's the perfect location to experience the tropical vibes of the Florida Keys while enjoying a rotating list of seasonal and barrel aged beers on draft. The Tasting Room open to the public every day 11am to 10pm...Friday and Saturday open until 11pm!

If you're feeling hunger pains while you're there,  try out the local fresh Mexican food from Jalisco Taco's where they have delicious offerings from tacos, quesadillas, burritos, and more that pair perfectly with whatever craft beer you are enjoying in the Beer Garden. It's truly a treat!

 Islamorada Beer Company is a beloved brewery & distillery that offers a variety of handcrafted ales, lagers and spirits, inspired by the Florida Keys lifestyle. With it's coastal inspired beers and their popular handcrafted Pirate Punch Rum, the Islamorada Beer Company has become a popular destination for locals and tourists alike.

They focus on crafting high quality ales and lagers that embody the laid back lifestyle of the Florida Keys. Their beers are known for their refreshing flavors and unique character, making them a perfect choice for enjoying in the warm Florida Climate. 

You must taste a dish at their new food truck, Spanky’s Kitchen, who offers a delicious selection of craft eats and treats that pairs with and plays with their drinks. The food truck parks in their beer garden, and offers a rotating menu of tasty tacos, house fish dip, sliders, tuna nachos and more. Don't miss out!

Papa's Pilar is a rum brand that draws inspiration from the adventurous spirit of Ernest Hemingway and his love for rum. The brand takes it's name from Hemingway's beloved boat, Pilar, which he used for fishing and exploring the crystal clear waters of the Florida Keys. Papa's Pilar rum aims to capture the essence of Hemingway's travels and experiences through their unique blend of rums sourced from various locations in the Caribbean, Central America, and the US. 

Located in Key West, Papa's Pilar has a distillery and experience center where you can learn about the rum-making process and the brand's connection to Hemingway. The distillery offers tours, tastings, cocktail classes, and a chance to explore the history of Key West and Hemingway. Trust us when we say, if you are a rum connoisseur, this is a must do!

This is a super unique rum distillery that produces hand crafted rum. They pride themselves in using only the finest ingredients, local sugarcane, and traditional distillation methods to create their high quality spirits. Visitors can take a tour to learn about the rum-making process, from fermentation to distillation and aging.

The tour also provides insights to the history of rum production in Key West, and offers a chance to sample their various rum offerings. In addition to rum options that range from white, gold and dark, they also have flavored offerings like Key Lime Pie and Coconut. Each of these rums has it's own distinct flavor profile and can be enjoyed neat or in a cocktail. 

 

Key West Butterfly & Nature Conservatory

Upon entering you will stroll through our tropical paradise and observe over 50-60 varieties of butterfly species from around the world in a lush rainforest-like setting.

Mallory Square Sunset Celebration

The Sunset Celebration at Mallory Square in Key West is a beloved tradition that draws locals and tourists alike to witness the breathtaking beauty of the island's sunsets. Every evening people gather at this iconic waterfront location to celebrate the end of the day and marvel at the vibrant colors as the sun dips below the horizon. 

As the afternoon turns into evening, the atmosphere at Mallory Square become electric with anticipation. Street performers, artists and vendors start setting up, adding to the lively and festive ambiance. Musicians serenade the crowd with lively tunes while performers showcase their perfected skills, from jugglers and acrobats to fire dancers and magicians. 

There are also local artisans showcasing their creations from handmade jewelry, artwork and souvenirs. Food vendors line the square, offering a delicious selection of snacks and refreshments from fresh seafood to tropical drinks.  So make sure you stop by at least once to watch the sky transform into a mesmerizing display of warm hues with shades of orange, purple, and pink painting the canvas above the sparkling blue waters.

The Key West Historic Seaport is a charming and vibrant destination located in the heart of Key West. It's a historic waterfront district that offers a unique blend of history, culture, and entertainment.

The seaport is home to a collection of beautifully restored buildings that date back to the 1800s. They once served as warehouses and storefronts for the thriving maritime industry of the time. Today, they house  a variety of shops, restaurants, and galleries, creating a lively atmosphere that draws both locals and tourists alike.  

The Key West Historic Seaport is a twenty-acre area that has become the go-to destination for those wishing to experience a blend of the old with the new Key West.

Duval Street, Key West
The world famous Duval Street in Key West extends from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. For decades visitors and locals have  enjoyed cocktailing up and down the bar lined street and refer to the  event as the "Duval Crawl". Can you end the night walking, or will you be crawling back to your hotel? 

If you want to participate in the actual Duval Crawl Pub Crawl, it would require consuming a super human 43  cocktails and probably a liver transplant. For those who don't want to end up in the Key West Gravity Chronicles, there is the Key West Pub Crawl. This 2.5 hour guided tour includes 5 cocktails, a souvenir t-shirt, and lots of laughs!
